Darlings fame Vijay Varma's quirky replies are unmissable as he gets marriage proposal from different countries

Actor Vijay Varma recently played the role of an abusive husband (Hamza Sheikh) in the Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah starrer Darlings. Darlings was released on Netflix on August 5, and it has gotten a lot of praise. Vijay, in particular, attracted a lot of attention for his role and received praise as well as internet abuse for his role as Hamza in Darlings.

Now, marriage proposals have replaced internet abuse. The actor, whose portrayal of the domestic abuser had scared his mother about his chances of getting married, stated that he had been receiving numerous marriage proposals on Instagram. He also responded to the suggestions, some of which came from his supporters outside of India, with amusing remarks.

On Friday, Vijay shared a boomerang of himself on Instagram Stories, announcing his arrival in Lucknow, where he will be filming the third season of Mirzapur. Then he shared screenshots of some quirky marriage proposals to his direct messages (DMs) that he had received on the post.

One wrote, "Also talk to my parents about our marriage now that you have come here." to which Vijay replied, " That's the sole reason I have come to Lucknow." One fan from Lucknow commented, "Please come to Pakistan to talk to my parents." Vijay replied, "I'll come immediately after finishing this Lucknow schedule. Mirzapur's filming will happen when it happens."

One wrote, "Gujarat is the best; come here. Bachchan Ji says' kuch din to gujaro Gujarat mein' (spend some days in Gujarat)." Speaking of which, Amitabh Bachchan worked in an advertisement for Gujarat tourism earlier. Vijay funnily wrote, "Hahahahaha I can't even. You used Big B to set yourself up with a boy." This is not the end. Vijay got marriage proposals from Canada and France as well.

Speaking of Darlings, the movie tried to raise a voice against domestic violence, and it also showed how women can empower themselves in a way. Darlings was Alia’s debut project as a producer. She co-produced it with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. This movie is directed by Jasmeet K. Reen.
