Delhi logs 75 new Covid-19 cases; positivity rate stands at 1.1 per cent

New Delhi: Data from the municipal health department show that there were 75 new Covid-19 cases in Delhi on Sunday, with a positive rate of 1.1%.
According to the department's most recent bulletin, the new cases were identified from 6,822 tests taken the day prior. With the additional cases, Delhi's Covid-19 total has now reached 20,03,013. According to the statement, the dead toll stood at 26,501.
On Saturday, Delhi reported 71 cases of Covid-19 with a positive rate of 0.81 percent. It recorded 95 Covid-19 cases on Friday with a positive rate of 0.96 percent and one fatality.
There were 77 Covid-19 cases reported in the city on Thursday, with a positive rate of 0.74 percent.
On Wednesday, it recorded 123 cases with a positive rate of 1.14 percent.
Tuesday saw 81 cases in the nation's capital with a positive rate of 0.82 percent and one fatality.
There are currently 405 active Covid-19 cases in Delhi. According to the notice, 304 patients are being isolated at home.
43 of the 8,874 beds set aside at various municipal hospitals for Covid-19 patients are filled, according to the report.
In Delhi, there are 55 containment zones, it was added.
During the third wave of the pandemic, the daily number of Covid-19 cases in Delhi reached a record high of 28,867 on January 13.
The city recorded a positivity rate of 30.6 percent on January 14, the highest during the third wave.
Since last year, the Delhi government has increased oxygen production, storage, and transportation facilities in the capital city in anticipation of a new wave of Covid-19 cases. Government data indicates that since December 2021, the overall capacity for oxygen generation and storage has increased by 31.4%.
