New Delhi: Continuing the ongoing political slugfest over black clothes and 'black magic', Congress leader BV Srinivas, on Thursday, shared four images of PM Narendra Modi highlighting the black thread worn by him. This comes after PM Modi's statement that 'some people have been resorting to black magic'.
Srinivas also shared a number of tweets by the Indian Youth Congress - the organization he heads - which targeted PM Narendra Modi over various issues such as black money and black clothes that he wore on various occasions. Congress has targetted PM Modi after he indirectly taunted the party leaders over the recent protests wearing black attire.
"These people think that by wearing black clothes, their disappointment and helplessness will end. They can do as much black magic as they wish, but people will never trust them again," PM Narendra Modi said during the launch of an Ethanol plant in Haryana.

He further added that at a time when the country is immersed in the 'tricolour', some people are resorting to 'black magic'. "We saw how, on August 5, there were attempts to spread black magic," PM said in an indirect taunt to the Congress party, which protested against the government wearing black clothes.
Congress hit back, alleging that the BJP 'failed' to act against black money. "He could not do anything to bring back black money. Now he is making an unnecessary issue out of black clothes. The country wants the PM to talk about their issues. But jumlajeevis keep talking on everything else (sic)," said Congress leader Jairam Ramesh in a tweet in Hindi. He also shared an image of PM Modi taking a dip in the Ganges wearing black clothes.
