The government of India has decided to remove the cap on airfare, which was imposed in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. These fare regulations were protecting the financially weaker airlines in the period immediately after the Covid outbreak against aggressive pricing actions by stronger players like IndiGo.Now given the fact that current ticket prices are between the floor price and caps set by the government and the prices of ATF are expected to reduce, there could be a fall in ticket prices.
