On the ongoing tour of England, Kohli has had a horror run with the bat and has not scored a single half-century in five innings across the three formats. In fact, Kohli has a highest score of 20 after playing two innings in the Test match, two T20, and 1 ODI so far.
Kohli will look to end the tour in style and lead India to the ODI series victory in Manchester. The series is levelled 1-1 coming into the ongoing match. The talisman Indian batter had missed the first game of the series due to a groin injury and only managed a score of 16 from 25 deliveries as the Men in Blue were beaten by 100 runs at Lord's.
Kohli's place in India's T20 World cup has been put under the scanner in recent months by many cricket experts including legendary Indian all-rounder Kapil Dev. Even Virender Sehwag and Venkatesh Prasad put out cryptic tweets on social media which hinted at the fact that the ex-skipper should be left out of the squad.
However, Kohli has found support from unlikely quarters with Pakistan captain Babar Azam and ex-English skipper Kevin Pietersen putting out social media posts in support of him.
