Surbhi Chandna returns to the screens after a brief gap for a couple of months with upcoming Colors show, Sherdil Shergill. Surbhi spoke to Zoom TV Digital about how she's picked up a role that's today's role and what went in agreeing to do this role in the first place.
Surbhi said, "For me, it is important that every time I do a show, I look different from my old show and feel the same while performing and perform characters that inspire people to be like me. If you see my graph, everything has had a lot of weightage in my life and with Manmeet, the deicsions she has taken, are pretty shocking and when Saraubh sir gave me the narration, I asked him, are you sure you want to show this on TV? He said which world are we living in? Times have changed, COVID has changed everything. But I was like still, there's a little hesitation on TV but he said no."
She further added, "I asked him if he will ultimately succumb to the pressure because you are showing a today's show, tapping into a new genre. He said 'kabhi kabar apne khushi ke liye krna chahiye', and that stayed with me. I love the way Manmeet is fearless, is strong headed, taken some decision against the family, which Surbhi Chandna wouldn't."
"That has happened, and I think she is independent and she is a very righteous boss, she works from her heart and that's why she is a CEO where she was once a trainee," she concluded.
Sherdil Shergill goes on-air on September 26, 2022.
