Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik welcomes Legends League Cricket stars
Hosted in India for the first time, the on-going second edition of Legends League Cricket has been witnessing the participation of world's greatest cricketers.
CM Naveen Patnaik also interacted with Sri Lankan great Muttiah Muralitharan of Manipal Tigers and other players of the league.
Cuttack: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik welcomed Legends League Cricket stars as the league's Cuttack leg begins today with Harbhajan Singh's Manipal Tigers and Irfan Pathan's Bhilwara Kings locking horns at the Barabati Cricket Stadium.
The Hon'ble CM Patnaik also interacted with Sri Lankan great Muttiah Muralitharan of Manipal Tigers and other players of the league including Ryan Sidebottom and Reetinder Singh Sodhi.

Earlier, Raman Raheja, the Co-Founder and CEO of Legends League Cricket, shared details of how well the league was received by fans.
“We have received a tremendous response both from the in-stadium audience and TV ratings. We have got the TV ratings for the first match. We have outdone ourselves... It is five times higher than last season in terms of ratings. We have also retained the position of being the second-most watched T20 league in India after the IPL and our digital footprint has crossed six hundred million," he said.
The on-going season has recorded massive 16 million-plus unique viewers on the digital streaming platforms in India and its digital footprints have also crossed 600 million fans across the world. According to the latest Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) TV ratings, the opening match of the season between India Maharajas and World Giants, played at Eden Gardens with the world’s greatest players taking part in it, has garnered higher ratings than any other on-going cricket league in the country.
