Noida: Techie dies after falling off his 9th floor apartment amid rains

Noida Police said it is not yet established whether the techie's death was an accident or he committed suicide. The victim recently relocated from Bengaluru to Noida.

Noida: In a tragic incident reported from Noida in Gautam Buddha Nagar in UP, a techie died after he allegedly fell off his 9th floor apartment amid heavy rains in the city on Thursday afternoon. The victim was unwell for the last few days.
The 42-year-old victim relocated from Bengaluru to Noida recently. The deceased was living alone at Grand Omaxe housing society in Sector 93B, police said.
Police said it is not yet clear whether the death was an accident or a suicide, according to a report in PTI.
Police were informed about the victim's fall and subsequent death around 5.30 pm. A police team rushed to the spot and took the body into custody and sent it to hospital.
The victim worked for a multinational corporation at its Sector 126 office in the city, the report quoted Paramhans Tiwari, SHO, Phase 2 police station.
A friend of the deceased told police that he moved to the city on September 6. Police said the man was earlier living in Karnataka capital Bengaluru and was not well for the last several days.
The SHO said it is yet to be established whether the death was accidental or he committed suicide. The body has been sent for autopsy.
The victim's company has informed his family about the incident. Throughout Thursday, the city witnessed heavy rainfall.
