For the India A team, all five top order batters made vital contributions, with Rajat Patidar finishing as the top-scorer by making an unbeaten 45 runs from 41 balls and skipper Sanju Samson (29 not out from 32 balls) finishing the game with a six.

Apart from them, opening batter Ruturaj Gaikwad made 41 and number three batter Rahul Tripathi also contributed 31 runs. They would like to make big runs in the second match on Sunday, along with talented youngster Prithvi Shaw, who was on fire in the Duleep Trophy matches, but could only score 17 from 24 balls in the first match.

For the visitors, their top-order batters have to step up and come up with a good show if they want to keep the series alive. They had already suffered a 0-1 defeat in the three-match Test series and are now on the verge of losing white-ball matches as well.
