After KL Rahul underwent sports hernia surgery, he along with his girlfriend and actress Athiya Shetty returned to Mumbai from Germany. The couple was spotted by paparazzi at the Mumbai airport. Rahul has been troubled by lower abdominal concerns including groin strains and hamstring injuries.

Athiya Shetty's boyfriend and Indian cricketer KL Rahul recently underwent surgery for a sports hernia in Germany. Athiya, who was also with KL Rahul during his 'tough couple of weeks', has now returned with him to Mumbai.
The much-in-love couple was spotted at Mumbai airport by the paparazzi. Athiya looked stunning in a black top teamed up with a pair of beige-coloured trousers and a matching black pullover. She completed her look with a pair of shoes and a black handbag.

KL Rahul, on the other hand, looked fit in a white t-shirt teamed up with grey trousers and a blue jacket. He can be seen carrying a black back and both of them have their face masks on, keeping in mind Covid-19 protocols.

On Friday (July 1), he took to Instagram to share a health update with his followers and wrote, "Hello everyone. It’s been a tough couple of weeks but the surgery was successful.” He further added that he is healing and recovering, "My road to recovery has begun. Thank you for your messages and prayers.”

Rahul has been troubled by lower abdominal concerns including groin strains and hamstring injuries. Reportedly, the India vice-captain is expected to be in the rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru where he'll be monitored by its Sports Science team headed by Nitin Patel.
He was expected to open for India during the rescheduled fifth Test against Englandat Edgbaston.
KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty remained in the headlines after rumours about their winter wedding surfaced on the internet. The gossip mills suggested that the couple is set to get hitched in December this year. However, the Mootichoor Chaknachoor actress had refuted any such truth in the reports. She said that she was shifting with her family members to a new home in the Maximum City.
