Nitin Gadkari, the Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways in the Union, said that the new regulation will go into effect on October 1, 2023. According to him, this measure is being made to ensure the safety of every passenger using a motor vehicle. To increase the safety of the passengers, it was determined to improve the motor vehicle's safety measures by altering the lateral impact. The seatbelt law must also be made mandatory, according to Tutu Dhawan, an automotive expert. The airbag rule alone won't be enough to avoid accidents.
