Parts of Chennai to face power outage on September 23; see list of affected areas

Some areas in Chennai will face scheduled power cuts between 9 am to 2 pm on Friday due to some maintenance work in the city. The supply will be affected in Tambaram, Ponneri, and Perambur areas.

Chennai: Some parts of Chennai will face power supply disruption on Friday, September 23 from 9 am to 2 pm. Tangedco (Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation) has scheduled the power outage to carry out some repair and maintenance work in the city.

The power supply will be restored before 2 pm if the work is completed earlier

Here’s the list of areas that will be affected due to the power cut-

In the Perambur area: Periyar Nagar 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Streets, Chandrasekaran Road, Kandasamy Road will face power outages.

In the Tambaram area: Power supply will be affected in Pammal Mother Teresa Street, Thenral Nagar, Ganapathy Nagar, EP Colony, Marion Street Rajakeepakkam Maruti Nagar, Pakhyam Nagar, Thirumurthy Nagar, Karpagam Avenue, Samraj Nagar 8th Street Katapperi R.P. Road Area, Annasalai, Gayatri Nagar, Vinoboji Nagar, Asthinapuram Bus Stand area and all surrounding area of places mentioned above.

In Ponneri Area: Maatharpakkam Maanellor, Kannambakkam, Ekuvarpalayam, NS Nagar, Rasachandrapuram, 33 Ki.Vo Matsayanayake Iron Company and all surrounding areas at the above-mentioned places will witness power cuts.
