Delhi: 42-year-old man stabbed to death by neighbour after quarrel between two minor boys

New Delhi: In a shocking incident reported from the national capital, a man was killed allegedly by his neighbour after a fight between two minor boys. The murder took place on Thursday in Jahangirpuri area of Delhi.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Mutalif, a resident of Jahangirpuri E Block. According to Deputy commissioner of police (northwest) Usha Rangnani, a call was received about the quarrel.
Once the police arrived at the spot, four people were found injured and were rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital for treatment. Mutalif later succumbed to stab wounds, according to a report in Hindustan Times.
The three injured persons including two women are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
"During the probe, it was found that the quarrel broke out between two minor boys after a cycle ridden by one of them accidentally hit the other. Their families intervened and the quarrel escalated,” the report quoted DCP Rangnani as saying.
Police said the deceased was stabbed in the chest. Police have filed a case of murder and causing injuries against the accused, who have been arrested. Police are searching for one of the accused identified as Russak, who is still absconding.
DCP said there was no communal angle involved in teh incident as both parties were from the same community.
