Caught on Camera: Policemen on night patrolling steal fan from a house in Bihar's Bhagalpur

The house owner Subodh Choudhary said he was forced out of the police station when he went there to demand his fan back in Dholbazza area of Bhagalpur district of Bihar.

Bhagalpur: In a shocking incident reported from Bhagalpur district of Bihar, a police team on night patrolling stole a fan lying in a varandah of a house. The incident reportedly took place in Dholbazza area of the district.
The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera. The video footage shows the police patrolling party stopping their vehicle outside a house and taking the fan away from the house. The video has gone viral on social media.
When the house owner Subodh Choudhary went to the police station to demand his fan back, he was forced out of the police station. The incident reportedly took place on September 26 night.
Finding his fan missing, Subodh asked the local about it and finally got to know about the theft by the policemen, according to a report in local Hindi daily Prabhat Khabar.
When Subodh the police station, he was told by the cops that no one took his fan. However, when the owner showed the police CCTV footage, cops returned his fan.
Meanwhile, Naugachia SP has ordered a probe into the incident after the matter became public.
Defending the action of policemen, Dholbazza police station SHO Prabhat Kumar has claimed that the fan was lying abandoned outside the house and thus policemen took it away. The fan was later returned to its owner, said SHO.
