On Netflix India, the Hindi version is currently ranked One in the trends list while the Telugu version is in the second place. The movie is also ranked one in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The movie's success is a testimony to the power of good cinema. The makers - director Sashi Kiran Tikka and Producers - GMB, A+S Movies, and Sony Pictures are super proud of the film's Success everywhere. They have won accolades for the honest attempt and also a commercial success in theatres and on OTT.
For the unversed, Major was released in cinemas on June 3. However, even before release, it gained widespread attention due to it being a tribute to Major Sandeep. According to a report by Filmibeat, after a month-long theatrical run, Major raked in Rs 64 crore at the box office, while it earned Rs. 29.80 crore gross in the Telugu states.
Earlier, the actor had opened up on North vs South debate during an interaction with DNA said, ""I think the most important thing is, we need to reach out, and welcome talents from other industries." The actor revealed that while growing up, he saw Hum Aapke Hai Koun in Telugu as Premalayam, so the embracement and acceptance from audience towards Hindi cinema was always there.
He also revealed that the South industry are at an advantade as while the makers know Hindi, the Hindi filmmakers are not familiar with regional language. The actor stated that South enjoys an upper hand in this.
