Varun Dhawan's Jugjugg Jeeyo holds strong on second Tuesday, earns Rs 71.09 crore at ticket windows

Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo is the only other commercial Bollywood film, apart from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to have crossed Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office. While, the film has done well overall, it has fared well in the domestic BO as well. The film has shown strong second Tuesday business.

Varun Dhawan's Jugjugg Jeeyo holds strong on second Tuesday

Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo is the only other commercial Bollywood film, apart from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to have crossed Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office. Jugjugg Jeeyo, which also stars Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in lead roles reached the Rs 100 crore mark at the worlwide BO earlier this week.
Dharma Productions tweeted, “They came to take over your hearts and are now ruling the box office! #JugJuggJeeyo enters the 100 crores club with your love and support! In cinemas near you - book your tickets now!”
While, the film has done well overall, it has fared well in the domestic BO as well. Earlier today, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share Jugjugg Jeeyo’s Tuesday business. He shared, "#JugJuggJeeyo shows a good hold on [second] Mon and Tue... [Week 2] Fri 3.03 cr, Sat 4.75 cr, Sun 6.10 cr, Mon 1.80 cr, Tue 1.75 cr. Total: ₹ 71.09 cr. #India biz."

Meanwhile, in an earlier interaction, Varun Dhawan who isstated that the industry is transitioning, as the last few years have seen Bollywood failing at the box office while counterparts from the South industries raking up the moolah. The actor was quoted as saying that Bollywood has stopped making big-scale, masala family entertainers because it is too influenced by the West.
He went on to add, "To begin with, no one knows what type of films will work. From the biggest producers to trade people, no one does and still every week we will come out and give gyaan that this works, that works."
The actor also opened up on choosing projects in such uncertain times, stating, “The world has changed, nobody knew Covid-19 was coming. It hit us, everything went for a toss. So you have to do what your conviction says.”
