Cuddalore: 3 boys held for raping classmate; boyfriend caught for asking to share rape video

The 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three same-aged boys and the act was recorded, shared on various social media platforms. All the accused were students at a government higher secondary school in class X. The victim's boyfriend was also from the same school and studied in class XII.

Cuddalore: In yet another shocking incident, a 17-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly asking for the rape video of his girlfriend. The 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three same-aged boys and the act was recorded, shared on various social media platforms. The three arrested accused have been identified as classmates of the victim. All the accused were students at a government higher secondary school in class X. The victim's boyfriend was also from the same school and studied in class XII.
The girl was invited to her boyfriend's birthday party. The victim clicked several pictures with her boyfriend and the photos were allegedly circulated among their friends group, The Times of India reported.
The girl was allegedly threatened by one of the minors that if she did not comply with his demands, he would reveal to her parents the pictures clicked during the birthday party. The minor asked the girl to visit his house. When the girl visited his house during lunch break, she was allegedly raped by three minors by overpowering her. The minors reportedly took turns to rape her and shared the video of the horrific act on social networking sites.
When her boyfriend got aware of the incident, he allegedly asked for the video from the three classmates who raped her.
When the video of the act circulated, she informed her mother about the tragedy and a complaint was filed, following which the accused along with the boyfriend was arrested.
The girl was sent for a medical examination to confirm and charge the accused with rape.
The accused were booked under sections 5,6,13 and 14 of the POCSO act. They were also charged with sections 376 (DA) and 452 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), The Times of India reported.
Her boyfriend was booked by the police under sections 13 and 14 of the POCSO Act.
