Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined other international leaders in Tokyo on Tuesday to attend the official funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The official funeral in Japan began with his widow Akie bringing his ashes into a Tokyo auditorium where hundreds of mourners had assembled. Flowers, prayers, and a 19-gun salute were used to pay tribute. Before the event, Prime Minister Modi met with his Japanese counterpart, Fumio Kishida.
