PlayStation Plus October 2022 Free Games list includes Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, Superhot and more

The free PlayStation Plus games for October 2022 have been revealed. Beginning the following week, subscribers of the PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/Premium plans will get access to these games. On October 4, Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and the popular first-person shooter Superhot will all be available to PS Plus subscribers. Up until October 31, you can add these games to your PS library, but after that, you'll need to keep your subscriptions active in order to play them.

Late on Wednesday, Sony announced the additions on the PlayStation Blog, noting that new games are on the way for PS Plus Extra, Premium, and Deluxe users.

Build amazing tracks, collect vehicles, and unleash your toy cars in this arcade simulation based on the Hot Wheels universe. Players can compete against others in two-player split-screen or online multiplayer games to win prizes and unlock more automobiles that can be fully customised with paint jobs and add-ons like tyre rims. Once you've raced, switch to the creation mode where you may design small courses with loops, unique boosters, and challenges to confuse your rivals. On the PS4 and PS5, Hot Wheels Unleashed will be playable.

The Mortal Kombat creators return to the DC Universe with a large cast of recognisable superhumans, engaging in epic-scale combat with one another. While incorporating gameplay enhancements like a gear system that enables character-specific clothing and equipment with status-altering effects, the sequel, Injustice 2, deepens Superman's mad tyrant narrative. However, the main gameplay mechanics remain the side-scrolling fighter perspective, with extravagant special moves reminiscent of the MK universe's Fatalities. On the PS4, Injustice 2 will be playable.

Superhot blurs the distinction between strategy and pure mayhem by plunging you into a polygonal world. At the same time, you pick up dropped weapons to slice and manoeuvre amid a barrage of slow-motion gunfire. You are outnumbered and outgunned. In this reality, time only moves when you do, and the mechanic of single-hit death compels you to plan out each move. On the PS4, Superhot will be playable.

Additionally, Sony emphasised that all PlayStation Plus members still have until October 3 to add the AAA racing game Need for Speed Heat, the independent gem Toem, and the game Granblue Fantasy: Versus to their library. These are the three free games for September that were announced.

The monthly cost of a PlayStation Plus subscription in India ranges from Rs. 499 for Essential to Rs. 749 for Extra to Rs. 849 for Deluxe. All three tiers come with complimentary games each month.
