Shah Rukh Khan opens up on his journey in Bollywood

Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars Bollywood has ever produced. Often called the Badshaah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh was last seen in Aanand L Rai's romantic drama Zero (2018), in which he played Bauua Singh, a dwarf involved in a love triangle. The film performed poorly at the box office, following which the actor took a hiatus from the industry.
However, after a screen absence of over four years, he will feature in three films in 2023. There is Pathaan alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, Atlee's Jawan which is releasing in June and Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu. Having spent three decades in the industry with over 80 films to his credit, Shah Rukh has finally opened up on his journey.
Earlier today, the megastar held an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram where he spoke about his journey in Bollywood. The actor said, "I didn't know it was going to be 30 years. Aditya Chopra who loves me so much, beyond movies decided to do this. He gave me this film andI went to shoot at 4:30 PM and finished off at 8:30 am. That's the best way to celebrate 30 years."
He further added, "I was speaking to my wife and kids, and nobody realises the extent until I saw 30 years of Shah Rukh Khan. I never thought I will last 30 years. I came here hoping I can work here, 2 years at most, 10 films most, if things don't work out, I'd find a job. I would find a job, always felt I would find a job in media, related to films."
He also stated, "I always thought if I don't make it as an actor, I will go back to doing a job in films, on the set of other actors."
The actor also said that he did not enjoy the process of filmmaking and so stopped working. The actor said Pathan is complete and he is in the middle of Jawan and Dunki which are 50-60% done.
