Khalistan flags issue: 'Powers' behind such incidents will not be spared, warns Himachal CM Jairam Thakur

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur on Sunday issued a warning to the perpetrators who tied Khalistan flags outside the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly building in Dharamshala today.
He also confirmed that an FIR has been registered in the matter and efforts are on to nab the persons responsible as soon as possible.
While speaking to media, Jairam Thakur said, "FIR has been registered against whoever tied Khalistan flags & wrote Khalistan outside the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in Dharamshala today. Investigation process has been initiated; our efforts are to nab them as soon as possible."
"Strict action will be taken against the accused. We have been observing for some days that some powers are behind carrying out such incidents; they will not be successful or spared," added the Himachal Pradesh CM.
Earlier today, Khalistan flags were found tied on the main gate and slogans written on the walls of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
The flags were put up on the outer side of the main gate number one of the assembly complex, which have now been removed by the administration.
"It might have happened in the late night or early morning today. We have removed the Khalistani flags from Vidhan Sabha gate. we are investing and going to register a case," SP Kangra Khushal Sharma said.
Terming the incident as unfortunate., National Secretary of Congress Sudhir Sharma said, "It is unfortunate that the flag of Khalistan at the entrance of the Dharamsala assembly and slogans are written on the walls, while the non-working of CCTV and the absence of security personnel raises question marks on the administration and security agencies."
"Recently, the efforts being made to create such an environment in Punjab, and Himachal are a matter of concern. We the people of Himachal will give our lives for the integrity of the country, but we will not allow such forces to flourish. Jai Hind," he tweeted.
