Maharashtra: 17-year-old girl raped by six men, including minor in Aurangabad

Aurangabad: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by six men, including a minor repeatedly in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, police informed on Tuesday.
The victim is a resident of Kannad taluka in Aurangabad district, said police.
"One of the accused allegedly raped the girl at a farm in a village on Friday. The crime came to light after the girl’s parents approached the police on Saturday," a senior official said as quoted by PTI.
The official said, "Police arrested five men, in the age group of 19 to 33 years, and detained the juvenile the same day.”
The accused have been booked under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the official added.
The five men were produced before a court which sent them in police custody till August 17 while the minor accused has been sent to a juvenile home, the official said as reported by PTI.
