Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 started on a blockbuster note on Sunday (August 7). The quiz-based show, which is hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, featured Aamir Khan, Mary Kom and Sunil Chhetri as special guests during the premiere episode. KBC 14 managed to keep the viewers hooked on to their televisions, all thanks to its informative content.
After a grand opening episode, Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 welcomed its first commoner contestant in Dulichand Agrawal. The professor, who hails from Chandigarh, impressed Amitabh and the studio audience with knowledge.
From engaging in a fun banter with Big B to sharing his thoughts about importance of knowing about things, Dhulichand grabbed all eyeballs.
Can you correctly answer a question for which KBC 14's first contestant took a lifeline? Well, the question was- 'In July 2022, Parameswaran Iyer took charge as the CEO of which government organisation?'
The options were:
A- Make In India
B- Niti Ayog
C- Digital India
D- CBI
The right answer for the above question is Niti Ayog
Amitabh Bachchan, while interacting with Dulichand, playfully trolled him when the latter asked the Brahmastra actor to call him as 'DC'. The professor told the Deewar star, "My friends in college teased me by saying what is this name Dhulichand and then one of my friends said that DC sounds too good on you. So, please call me DC."
Senior Bachchan had an interesting reaction when the contestants asked him to call him 'DC'.
"Your name is beautiful and definitely you will feel good but to us it will sound like current, DC and AC," Big B said, leaving the studio audience in splits.
Dulichand Agrawal won Rs 50 lakh till the end of the episode, becoming the first rollover contestant of KBC 14.
