India's two world cup-winning captains MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev were spotted playing golf together in Gurugram. Dhoni attended the special Kapil Dev Grand Thornton Invitational event 2022 and the videos of him striking the ball with a golf stick and the two legendary Indian cricketers being together has gone viral.

In a moment that brought a smile to cricket fans across the country, MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev were spotted together and playing the sport of golf with each other. Dhoni and Kapil occupy a golden place in Indian cricket's history as they are the only two cricket world-cup winning captains from the country.
Dhoni joined Kapil at his golf tournament named the Kapil Dev - Grant Thornton Invitational 2022 event. The tournament is currently taking place in Gurugram. A video which has gone viral on social media shows MS Dhoni trying his hand at the sport. While fans are used to seeing the legendary cricket strike long hits, the clip of him doing it with a golf stick got a lot of interest on the internet.

Last month Dhoni and Kapil were spotted attending the 2022 US Open together. The duo were spotted at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York during a men's singles match between Jannik Sinner and eventual champions Carlos Alcarez. The game turned out to be a memorable as it was a five-set thriller which lasted for a total of five hours and 15 minutes

Kapil had created history in 1983 when caused one of the biggest upsets in sporting history by leading the Indian side to victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup with a victory over double defending champions West Indies in the summit clash at Lord's.
India's second title-win in Cricket World Cup history came 28 years later in 2011 under the captaincy of Dhoni. The wicket-keeper led from the front and put on a Player of the Match (POTM) performance in the final at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium against Sri Lanka to end India's long wait to be crowned World Champions again. Under Dhoni's captaincy, India won the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy too.
