Shah Rukh Khan starts shooting for 'Dunki' with Rajkumar Hirani; pic from set explodes social media

Shah Rukh Khan has started shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's movie "Dunki'. An image of the Bollywood star with crew members of the movie surfaced online on Wednesday. The movie will be released next year on December 22.

After the much-awaited movie 'Pathaan', Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's movie, Dunki, Shah Rukh has begun the shooting of the movie 'Dunki'. A picture of the Bollywood star and director Rajkumar Hirani with other crew members of the movie 'Dunki' from the sets surfaced online on Wednesday.

Last month, Shah Rukh confirmed his collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani for 'Dunki'. The film also stars Tapsee Pannu. It went on floors this April. The movie will also be shot in Punjab. Shah Rukh was last seen on the silver screen in 'Zero' which was released in 2018.

Talking about 'Dunki', it is an immigration drama. The film will also reportedly be shot in foreign locations, including Budapest and London. The film is being co-produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. Dunki is Shah Rukh and Hirani's first collaboration. The film will be released on December 22, 2023.

Shah Rukh made the announcement regarding Dunki, on his Instagram handle. He wrote, "Dear @hirani.rajkumar sir, Aap toh Mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. actually main toh set par hi rehne lagunga!Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you. Bringing to you all #Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023." He also shared the same post on his Twitter handle.

The Bollywood start is all set to make comeback with 'Pathaan', which is releasing on January 25, 2023. Pathaan also features John Abraham and Deepika Padukone. As per media reports, it will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
