Seventeen has been in the US carrying out their promotional activities including the concert, but as it turns out they have now faced a hiccup as member Dino has tested positive for Covid-19. The news was shared recently.
As per the announcement shared by Seventeen’s agency, PLEDIS Entertainment on August 17, it was said that Dino had tested positive for Covid-19 in Los Angeles. He has mild symptoms and is currently in self-isolation.
“We would like to provide you with information on SEVENTEEN member Dino being diagnosed with COVID-19, as well as adjustments in his activities,” read the statement by the agency.
“Dino took a PCR test in Los Angeles on August 16 (PT) and was confirmed with COVID-19. He is currently experiencing a mild sore throat and has been under self-quarantine and administering self-treatment, away from the other members,” it added giving an update on his health and also other members'.
It also added that the test results for the rest of them came back negative. “All SEVENTEEN members other than Dino took PCR tests and the results came back as negative.”
But since Dino has tested positive, he will now have to sit out the band’s upcoming schedules. “In this regard, the Los Angeles concert scheduled on Wednesday, August 17 (PT), Jimmy Kimmel Live! to be aired on Thursday, August 18 (PT),” the statement shared.
Furthermore, it added, “Houston concert scheduled on Saturday, August 20 (PT) will proceed as planned with 12 members except Dino who will thoroughly comply with the guidelines of the health authorities in the United States.”
“We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Dino, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists. We will also continue to fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of healthcare authorities,” the statement ended.
