Alia Bhatt goes 'what a moment' as a New York theatre screens Darlings - see post

Taking to Instagram stories, Alia Bhatt went on to share that her movie, Darlings, was screened at a theatre in New York last night. The film marks Alia's debut as a producer.

Over the years, Alia Bhatt has proved herself to be one of the most versatile actresses in Bollywood. After starring in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi and S. S. Rajamouli's RRR, the diva is set to headline the movie Darlings. The upcoming release marks her debut as a producer.

Alia, who is expecting her first child with her hubby Ranbir Kapoor, recently took to Instagram to share that Darlings was screened at a theatre in New York last night.

Sharing a pic of the theatre, the actress went on to write, "Last night in NYC! What a moment #Darlings," followed by a red heart emoticon. Take a look below:

Directed by Jasmeet K. Reen, Darlings has been produced Gauri Khan, Alia, and Gaurav Verma under the banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions. The OTT movie also stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in lead roles.

Last month, the trailer of the movie was released online and it received a positive response from the audience. While sharing the trailer on social media, Alia wrote, "My first film as a producer!!! So excited nervous thrilled emotional to share it with you!!!!"

Apart from this, Alia has other interesting projects coming up as well. She will be seen sharing screen space with Ranbir in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, which is being produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The diva will also be headlining Karan's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, co-starring Ranveer Singh. Alia is also set to make her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone. The OTT film will also star Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot.
