AAP leaders meeting Sidhu Moose Wala’s parents discretely, claims Punjab Congress, calls it ‘backdoor condolences’

New Delhi: The Punjab Congress blasted the Bhagwant Mann government for withdrawing Sidhu Moose Wala’s security on Thursday and claimed that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders were paying discrete visits to meet his parents away from the public gaze.

The singer-turned-politician was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village in Mansa district of Punjab on Sunday, a day after the Punjab government curtailed his security cover.

Moose Wala was hit by around 25 bullets and gunpowder was also found on his body.

In a tweet, Punjab Congress shared a picture showing AAP leaders meeting Moose Wala’s father.

“Backdoor condolences! After withdrawing his security and exposing him like a sitting duck, @AamAadmiParty leaders have started shedding crocodile tears for #sidhumoosewala ji by paying discrete visit to his parents away from public gaze,” it said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, Punjab Police on Monday also detained six people from Dehradun’s Peliyon Police Chowki area in connection with Moose Wala’s murder.

The Director-General of Punjab Police, VK Bhawra reconstituted a six-membered Special Investigation Team (SIT) to expedite the investigations in Sidhu Moose Wala Murder case on Wednesday.

The six-membered investigative team will comprise the Inspector General of Police PAP Jaskaran Singh, Additional Inspector General of Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Gurmeet Singh Chauhan, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Mansa Gaurav Toora, SP Investigation Mansa Dharamveer Singh, DSP Investigation Bathinda Vishawajeet Singh and Incharge CIA Mansa Prithipal Singh, under the supervision of Additional DGP of Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Pramod Ban.

Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar has claimed responsibility for the killing. Brar is a close aide of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also said to be involved in the singer’s murder.

After the killing, some gangsters on social media are calling themselves the “brother” of the Punjabi singer and are talking about taking revenge for his murder.
