Bumrah dropped an easy catch just one ball before the eventual dismissal. Earlier, Shardul had also dropped a catch of the English captain off Mohammed Shami.

Interestingly, Bumrah had dropped a simple catch just one ball earlier before pulling off one of the best catches of the ongoing fixture. Earlier, Stokes was dropped by Shardul himself off Mohammed Shami's bowling.

Stokes departed after scoring 25 runs in 36 balls. The wicket came as a major boost for India as England made a very strong start to proceedings on the third day as they aim to reduce India's lead. The visitors put up a massive total of 416 on the board in the first innings.
The aggressive Jonny Bairstow has continued his golden run of form and brought up his fourth consecutive 50+ score in Test cricket. The 32-year-old struggled at the start of the innings and constantly played and missed deliveries. However, he has regained his touch and is looking set for another big score. He has now become the leading run-scorer in Test cricket in 2022.
Earlier Bumrah had given India a brilliant start by dismissing England's top three while Siraj produced the big wicket of Joe Root. Both Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja scored centuries for India as part of a massive 222-run partnership which helped them cross the 400-run mark.
