Ranveer Singh says he can't wake up on time because of wife Deepika Padukone, here's why

Ranveer Singh is currently on cloud nine as his new film Jayeshbhai Jordaar has released in theatres today (May 13) and as per early reviews, the film has connected with audiences and critics. For the last few days, Ranveer had been busy with promotions and openly spoke about his film and himself in interviews and public interactions. However, in an interview with Zoom TV, while he spoke about the message his film puts forth, he also got candid about a habit of his he still struggles with.
In the interview, the actor revealed that he finds it very difficult to wake up on time in the morning. “I struggle. And now, my wife (Deepika Padukone) has bought us a weighted blanket, which is even more comfortable. It cocoons you so much that now it is even more difficult to get out of bed,” said Ranveer.
The actor added that waking up in the morning is the most efforted thing to do in his life. “I'm a night bird. I'm completely nocturnal. So, it is hard to fall asleep and it is difficult to wake up in the morning. I'm still struggling with that,” shared the 36-year-old.
Talking about Jayeshbhai Jordaar, the film that has been written and directed by Divyang Thakkar, also stars Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah in important roles. The movie revolves around Jayeshbhai, who is the son of a traditional Gujarati sarpanch, who believes in equal rights for men and women and rights against deep-rooted patriarchy in his village.
In the same interview, Ranveer also mentioned that recently he was really touched when a girl came to him and told him her story. "She told me that her dadi refused to see her face when she was born. Her father had to beg her to accept her and she learnt this much later in life and was so hurt. She said you are dealing with these types of themes in the film, so thank you... This interaction really moved me," said Ranveer.
