Kartik Aaryan is having a dream run at the box office. Most of his past releases have done encouraging business at the ticket windows and with his latest release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik has scored a home run.
The film, which also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu, took one of the biggest openings of 2022. It then went on to cross the Rs 100 crore mark within just 9 days of its release. As of now, the horror-comedy is well on its way to touch Rs 150 crore.
The stupendous success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 came as a huge relief for Bollywood as almost every notable release in the recent past failed to woo the audience.
When Kartik was asked his take on reviving the Hindi film industry, he said that he is grateful for all the love coming his way. “I am flattered and humbled by that statement. However, I have miles to go and lots more to do. I am currently enjoying this phase in my career and the results it yields only encourage me to push the envelope a little more,” the 31-year-old actor said in an interview with Filmfare.
Kartik further shared that his aim is to become the topmost actor. “My aim is to become the number one actor in the industry. I am working double hard now. Currently, I feel extremely lucky to be in a position where directors and producers are trusting me with their subjects. So I will continue to do my job and entertain the masses,” added an elated Kartik.
He will next be seen in the remake of Allu Arjun starrer Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Titled Shehzada, the film also stars Kriti Sanon. Kartik also has Captain India and Freddy in his kitty.
