Ahmedabad: On Monday, Amit Shah, the union minister, inaugurated a flyover and a primary health facility close to Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Shah will attend a number of events over his two days in Gujarat, including a farmers' conference in the Ahmedabad district.
Shah inaugurated a flyover in the early hours of the morning close to Bhadaj village on SP Ring Road in the city's outskirts, which is part of his Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
According to a press release from the Gujarat government, the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) built this six-lane flyover at a cost of Rs 73 crore to reduce traffic congestion on the busy Bhadaj circle of the ring road.
Later, Shah launched a primary healthcare facility in the village of Virochannagar in the Sanand taluka, which is also part of his parliamentary district.
According to the official itinerary, the union minister will also formally lay the cornerstone for the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital in Sanand, Ahmedabad.
He will go to a farmers' conference at the Ahmedabad district's Bavla village in the afternoon.
According to a government announcement, farmers from Shah's Gandhinagar parliamentary district are hosting the "Rin Sweekar Sammelan" (thanks acceptance conference) to show their appreciation for the installation of irrigation systems in 164 villages.
