The most prestigious film awards of the country, the 68th National Awards are being held currently at New Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan. Actor Ajay Devgn has won the award for Best Actor for Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
Not only that, but he also bagged the award for the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment for his film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. This is Ajay's third Best Actor win.

Earlier, Ajay won the National Award for his 1998 film Zakhm and The Legend of Bhagat Singh.
Apart from Ajay, actor Suriya also won the Best Actor Award for Soorarai Poottru while the best actress award was bagged by Aparna Balamurali for Soorarai Pottru. The film also won Best Screenplay and Best Background Score and Best Feature Film awards too.
Veteran actress Asha Parekh received India's highest film honour at the Dadasaheb Phalke Award on Friday. The 79-year-old actress was honoured with the award for the year 2020. It should be noted that the National Film Awards were delayed by a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, on the work front, he has interesting projects in his pipeline. He will be next seen in Thank God alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is scheduled to release on Diwali 2022.
He also has Drishyam 2, alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Akshaye Khanna, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor. Drishyam 2 is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. He also has Maidaan in his kitty.
