New Delhi: A day after Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the family of Sidhu Moose Wala at his residence in Mansa, the singer-politician’s father met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Chandigarh today.
Moose Wala’s father has sought an investigation by a central agency into his son’s brutal assassination.
The singer-turned-politician was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village in Mansa district of Punjab on Sunday, a day after the Punjab government curtailed his security cover.
Moose Wala’s body had 19 bullet injury injuries and he died within 15 minutes of being shot. According to the post-mortem report, he died due to “haemorrhage shock”.
Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar reportedly claimed responsibility for the murder of a Punjabi singer in a Facebook post on Sunday evening.
Goldy Brar is a close aide of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also said to be involved in the singer’s murder. Brar aka Satinder Singh is involved in multiple criminal cases.
However, Bishnoi has not yet confessed his participation in plans to murder the singer but told the police that Sidhu Moose Wala was killed in revenge, but he himself has no hand in it.
During interrogation, Lawrence said that Goldy Brar had received information that Moose Wala had helped his manager to flee abroad, who is allegedly linked with Vicky Muthikheda’s murder.
According to sources, it has been found in the investigation that whatever messages are being sent on social media about the murder, they are either being sent from abroad or through a VPN.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the killing of Moose Wala is unfortunate but there should be no politics around it.
Punjab CM has already said they are trying their best and assured that the accused will be soon arrested and given the strictest punishment, Kejriwal said.
