Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh have been painting the town red with their romance ever since they got hitched. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on July 9 in Agra in the presence of family members and close friends. After getting married, the two lovebirds hosted wedding receptions in Ahmedabad and Delhi for their loved ones.
On Monday (August 1), Payal and Sangram made their first public appearance at the Mumbai airport post their marriage. The duo happily posed for the paparazzi, distributing sweets to them and thanking them for their loved and blessings.
The couple also invited the shutterbugs to their wedding reception in Mumbai, promising to share the details soon. Payal, while interacting with a paparazzo, shared her opinion on the controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh's nude photoshoot.
Expressing her views on the hullabaloo over Ranveer's naked photos, Payal Rohatgi said that people should be focusing on bigger issues like rape, murders rather than talking about the actor's photoshoot.
"People have made a big issue of his photoshoot which was ‘unnecessary’. There are bigger issues in life like rapes, and murders and more. People should focus on such issues rather than somebody's pictures. It's really sad that they are talking about the photos and neglecting the main issues," Payal said.
Ranveer's photoshoot for a magazine has sparked a nationwide debate. An FIR was filed against the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani actor for allegedly 'outraging the modesty' of women by posing nude. Bollywood celebs including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have expressed their opinion on the matter.
Janhvi had extended support to Ranveer, saying that no one should be 'penalised for their artistic freedom.'
Talking about Payal, the former Bigg Boss contestant was last seen in Kangana Ranaut's Lock Upp. She had emerged as the first runner-up of the reality show, which beamed on two popular OTT platforms.
