Some stunning photographs of snow leopards have gone viral in the past as puzzles because they were camouflaged almost perfectly with the terrain.
In 2021, a photo captured a snow leopard hiding somewhere in a mountainous region covered in snow. The photo was originally taken by Ryan Cragun, a man from Utah.
It had caught the attention of an IFS officer, who shared it with the caption: "Phantom cat….! They are called ghost of the mountains. If you can locate. @ryancragun."
Before that, another 'hard to spot' image of a snow leopard was captured in the Himalayan range by hotographer Saurabh Desai. The camouflage image did not take much time to go viral. Desai clicked the animal when he was visiting the Spiti Valley in the Himalayan mountain range in North India.

Fonseca said the big cat was reacting to the sound of the camera.
He wrote: "A Snow leopard youngster interacts with my camera trap in the mountains of Ladakh. He is probably reacting to the shutter sound of the DSLR."
The photo has collected over 1.23k lakh likes on the platform. On Sunday, it went viral after being shared on Twitter by Dhruva Jaishankar (@d_jaishankar).
