Bengaluru: Incessant rains wreak havoc, kills 3 in 3 separate incidents

Three people were killed in three separate instances due to incessant rains in Bengaluru. In the first instance, a 24-year-old man died in KR Puram. In the second incident, an MTech student died after he drove his car into a lake near Tavarekere. In the third incident, a woman named V Muniyamma died due to a wall collapse.

Bengaluru: Three people were killed in three separate instances due to incessant rains in Bengaluru. In the first instance, a 24-year-old man died in KR Puram. His body was retrieved by the officials of fire department on Saturday, 36 hours after the he got washed away after falling into a drain in Bengaluru.
The deceased, identified as Mithun was an engineer by profession. He was a resident of Gayathrinagar in KR Puram of Bengaluru. According to the officials, Mithun was a native of Adaranthe in the Sagar taluk of Shivamogga district. He worked with a Bengaluru-based firm. He died on Friday due to the rainfall reported The Indian Express.
In the second incident, an MTech student died after he drove his car into a lake near Tavarekere. The incident occurred late on Friday night. The student identified as Prajwal, studied at SJB Institute of Technology in Uttarahalli. Prajwal was a native of Arkalgud in Hassan district.
The incident took place at around 11 pm on Friday, Prajwal along with his friend Ravichandra were heading back to their place in the car. While Ravichandra somehow managed to get out of the car and swim back to the road, Prajwal couldn’t get out and got stuck in the vehicle and died.
In the third incident, a woman named V Muniyamma died due to a wall collapse. Incessant rains caused a wall of her to collapse and Muniyamma got stuck there in the debris. Though, her family and neighbours managed to pull her out and got her to a hospital, she couldn’t be saved. She succumbed to her injuries.
