New Delhi: Working from home might seem like the easiest thing to do because you don’t have to go out or you have to be present at your office. However, there’s a downside to all of this. Many people struggle to work from home, they can’t focus properly and that affects their work. Again when you are working from home, your parents, siblings or even your children could be distractions as you might have to attend to them as well. All of this affects your productivity and that is something you don’t want.
While we can all agree that working from home can be difficult but it is important that you adapt to this mode of work as this mode of work is being adopted by a majority of companies. Here are a few hacks that can help if you are struggling to work from home.
  1. Make a routine for yourself. This is one of the most important things that you need to adopt when you are working from home. Just because you are working from home doesn’t mean that you should not have a routine. Wake up at a fixed time everyday, eat your meals at a certain time, take breaks when you need to and go to bed on time. Have a fixed time for everything and that will help you a lot.
  2. Don’t try to multitask, that will be a much bigger problem. When you try to multitask, you tend to stress yourself and that can cause burnout. Instead, try and do one thing at a time and that will help you to manage your work as well as your time.
  3. Limit your distractions. Cut down on all your distractions, even if that is your phone. Stop scrolling through social media as you could get highly consumed in it and you’ll end up wasting your time.
  4. Have a dedicated workspace for yourself. When you have a workspace, your distractions will be less and you can focus on your work. If you tend to work from your bed or couch, it does not just affect your productivity, it affects your health as well.
