Bollywood actor R Madhavan is currently gearing up for his directorial debut film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which has been grabbing the headlines ever since it released its teaser. The actor has not only written and directed this film but also plays the titular role in this biographical film on the life of Nambi Narayanan, former scientist and aerospace engineer of ISRO.
Well, fans are eagerly waiting for the movie to be released and experience the inspiring life story of Nambi Narayanan on the big screen.
On Monday (June 27), the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting conducted a special screen of R Madhavan’s new film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The screening was attended by the Rocketry team, which includes its writer-director and lead actor Madhavan and along with CBI director Dr Karthikeyan, former IG CBI PM Nair and senior government officials. The film was well-received by the audience for its script, editing, acting and portrayal of the story of the life of Nambi Narayanan.
During the screening, Madhavan shared how this film is a celebration of India’s technological power across the world and the IT sectors. He said, “It is a tribute to the master Nambi Narayanan whose Vikas engine never fails and also conveyed the message of India’s soft power skill sets to the world with regard to human resource expertise and scientific excellence.”
Besides this, Apurva Chandra, Secretary of I&B also shared his views about the film and said, “The film is not only gripping but also touches the hearts of the audience. The film pays tribute to the thousands of scientists, including Nambi Narayanan, who have dedicated their entire life to the achievements of India’s space programme.”
Coming back to the film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect features a strong cast including Phyllis Logan, Vincent Riotta, and Ron Donachie. Plus, our superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya will be seen in special cameo roles in this film. The film is slated to hit the big screen on July 1 in six different languages - Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
