'Ye sab hota rehta hai...': Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren gives shocking statement on murder of minor girl in Dumka

A 14-year-old tribal girl was found hanging from a tree in Jharkhand's Dumka on Friday. The girl was allegedly sexually exploited by a man on the pretext of marriage, police said on Saturday.
'Ye sab hota rehta hai,' Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday drew flak over his 'incidents happen' remark on the recent incident of a minor girl hanged to death in Dumka. "Incidents happen. Where do they not occur?" Soren said. Such incidents cannot be predicted, the CM added further.
JMM, however, defended the remarks by CM Soren saying he directed officials to take strict action in the matter.
Notably, a 14-year-old tribal girl was found hanging from a tree in Jharkhand's Dumka on Friday. The girl was allegedly sexually exploited by a man on the pretext of marriage, police said on Saturday. Meanwhile, the mother of the victim alleged that her daughter was raped, killed, and hanged from a tree in the Mufassil police station area on Friday.
"The deceased girl found hanging from a tree in Dumka is a minor, tribal girl. The accused identified as Arman Ansari has been booked under section 302 of IPC, SC ST and POCSO Act. The matter is being investigated. Whether she was pregnant or not will be known once the post-mortem has been conducted," Dumka SP told news agency ANI on Sunday.
BJP, on the other hand, slammed the Jharkhand government over the incident. "A girl was set ablaze last week and now a tribal girl was hanged by the tree to her death. She was pregnant, which means she was being raped for months on the pretext of promises. I think the administration is directly responsible for this as it is losing control over criminals. It seems that law and order have completely collapsed in the state. Government is the wheel for the administrative work which is not present in the government because the government is busy in political engagement. It is creating political instability," Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda said on Sunday.
