BTS’ Proof of Inspiration: RM comes to terms with all his different “me”s

For the unversed, BTS has been dropping individual videos as part of their 'Proof of Inspiration' saga. Each member from the team has been narrating and reminiscing about the reason behind choosing certain songs for their anthology album. It is now RM who has shared why he thought “Intro: Persona” and “Stay” would go in the anthology album.

The South Korean boy band BTS was formed in 2010 and they debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. Consisting of seven members including Jin, Suga, Jungkook, V, RM, J-Hope and Jimin, the BTS has gained popularity all around the globe and their fans are collectively known as ARMY.

BigHit Music took to their official Twitter account to share RM’s version of ‘Proof of Inspiration’ saga.

In the video, RM could be spotted saying, “I thought it would be great if “Intro: Persona” and “Stay” would go in our anthology album, Proof. “Intro: Persona” starts with “Who am I!” So I’ve been thinking about that a lot while we ran full speed ahead since our debut, and even now.”

He further talked about his different personas and said, “I have many different personas: there’s Kim Namjoon as a human being, there’s Kim Namjoon who is a family member and friend, and then, there’s RM who makes music. I have all these different “me”s, so sometimes it comes as a heavy burden. And at times I wonder who the real “me” is.”

Rm signed off saying, “But in the end, I found that all these personas that I’ve been shifting between are all me. And I think the members and our ARMY who “Stay”ed by my side no matter which of the “me”s I was are my Proof.”
