Popular actor-comedian Raju Srivastava passed away at AIIMS in Delhi after a long fight for life, according to his family. He was 58. After having a heart attack on August 10, he spent 43 days in the intensive care unit (ICU) in severe condition and on a ventilator. He was born on December 25, 1963, in Kanpur as Satya Prakash Srivastava. A well-known figure in the entertainment world, Raju Srivastava was renowned for his witty and provocative comedy.
Many people are unaware of the fact that while he participated in the comedy competition Great Indian Laughter Challenge"in 2005, he had to fight for years to break into the entertainment industry.
Additionally, Raju also went by 'Gajadhar', after a funny character he himself created.
Raju played supporting roles in Bollywood movies such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, and others before chancing upon the reality TV show.Raju Srivastava had a strong penchant for acting and mimicry in addition to stand-up comedy.
