After a long wait, Bigg Boss 16 finally started tonight with a bang. Host Salman Khan started the grand premiere with his grand entry and explained how this season is going to be. Interestingly, he also introduced us to the newly designed house for Bigg Boss season 16.

It has to be noted that Bigg Boss 16 is going to be fast-paced and Bigg Boss will also be playing the show along with the contestants. Ever since the show was announced, many celebrities’ names were doing the rounds on the internet for becoming contestants in the show. And now, since the show has just begun, we are getting to know contestants of BB 16 one by one.

The latest contestant of Bigg Boss 16 is Shiv Thakare. The handsome hunk has been a part of Bigg Boss Marathi season 2, hosted by Mahesh Manjrekar. He has emerged as the winner of Marathi Bigg Boss 2. And now, he is all set to win hearts with his humble gesture and charming personality in Bigg Boss 16. Shiv is also a fitness freak.

For the unversed, Shiv Thakare is from Amravati, Maharashtra. He is a dancer by profession and first shot to fame with his participation in MTV Roadies Rising as a contestant. He was in Rannvijay Singh’s gang and was the semi-finalist of the show. Shiv has struggled a lot in his life. He had left Rannvijay emotional with his struggle story during the auditions of Roadies Rising.

Talking about his Bigg Boss Marathi 2 journey, he was the favourite one of almost all the contestants inside the house. He came close to a fellow contestant and Marathi TV actress Veena Jagtap inside the house. They even started dating each other post the show. However, after a few years, they parted ways.

Shiv Thakare has also featured in a couple of Marathi music videos Kasachandra and Sheelavati opposite Veena Jagtap and Mira Jagannath respectively. After learning about him, fans would definitely get more excited to see his journey in the Bigg Boss 16 house.
