Nitish Kumar a 'margdarshak' for anyone who wants to change party every 6 months, says Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Earlier today, Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar chief minister for a record eighth time in a no-frills ceremony at Raj Bhavan. He was sworn in besides RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, who is likely to be designated as his deputy.

Guwahati: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday called his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar a "margdarshak (guide)" for politicians who want to change party every six months. He also called the Janata Dal (United) supremo "unpredictable".
Kumar recently severed his ties with the BJP and formed a new government in Bihar in coalition with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and other parties under the 'Mahagathbandhan' (Grand Alliance) umbrella.
Reacting to the political developments in Bihar, Assam CM Sarma said, "How can you guarantee that (Bihar CM) Nitish Kumar will not leave this coalition after 6-8 months. He's unpredictable."
"We have also changed political party but we have not changed like him. He is 'Margdarshak' for everybody who wants to change party every 6 months," he added.
Earlier today, Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar chief minister for a record eighth time in a no-frills ceremony at Raj Bhavan. He was sworn in besides RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, who is likely to be designated as his deputy.
Other cabinet ministers will be sworn in later once the three main alliance partners - the JD(U), RJD and Congress - decide on the number of berths and the legislators who will be made ministers.
Kumar is likely to retain the all-important Home portfolio, while the RJD may get most of the departments that were previously with the BJP, a highly-placed source said.
He said an in-principle agreement has been reached about the composition of the new cabinet, which is likely to have "35 members or more", drawn from Kumar's JD(U), the RJD and the Congress.
