Rain and Kim Tae Hee have no doubt turned into one of the most loved couples in the Korean entertainment industry. From their charming love story to their support for each other, the appreciation gave way to shock when rumours circulating around the K-pop star cheating on his actress wife gained momentum on the internet.
For those of you who may not be aware, Rain was alleged to be cheating on Tae Hee with a pro-golfer as per a media portal. The outlet stated that “a recently married top star cheated on his beautiful wife,” and further explained that the two met at a golf tournament and had a significant age difference, with the golfer being an acquaintance of the star’s wife.

The news spread like wildfire with netizens even finding out the identity of the golfer and sending her threatening messages. But turns out, as many were hoping it to be, the news is completely false.
Clarified by Rain's agency itself, their stance on the matter remained, "We weren’t going to respond to the rumours. They are unfounded, and we believe they aren’t worth speaking about. However, we will be pursuing legal action. Our lawyer has begun the process."
Not only were the rumours fake, much to the delight of fans, but, if the statement is anything to go by, the perpetrator now faces legal action.
Furthermore, Professional golfer Park Gyeol who was alleged to be the mistress personally responded to the ridiculous rumours, stating, "I have no words… I’ve only seen him once, years ago, at a sponsored event… I don’t even have his phone number… You people are evil… I don’t look like her (Kim Tae Hee), but I was thankful for the comparisons until something like this happened…
