Gippy Grewal says his son was asked to cut his hair for Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, reveals why they refused

Punjabi sensation Gippy Grewal has revealed that his son Shinda Grewal offered to play Aamir Khan's childhood part in Laal Singh Chaddha. Also adds what made him say no to the project.

Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha has taken over the internet. From good to bad, the film has been through various spectrums of social media judgements and verdicts. The film is a Hindi adaptation of the 1994 Hollywood classic - Forrest Gump. The original film won Tom Hanks numerous awards.
Various trivia and interesting facts about the film keep dropping on social media. And now, Gippy Grewal has made a startling revelation too. The Punjabi superstar has revealed that his son was offered Laal Singh Chaddha. Gippy's son, Shinda was reportedly offered to play the role of Aamir Khan's younger days.
But, the character demanded him to cut his hair and thus, they refused. “However, the character had to cut his hair in the film. Therefore, we didn't do that film," Grewal told Bollywood Hungama. He also added, “I know the story of the film as we have translated most of the dialogues in the film into Punjabi. I am expecting so much from this film.”
Aamir, in a recent interview, revealed that when the script was presented to him, it was already the character of a Sikh. He added that they read it as a Sikh character and seemed quite natural. Khan also added that why the character was a Sikh was never the question.
Aamir also told Galatta that the character could have been anyone from any caste or creed. "But now that I think about it, Atul did that because in our timeline of recent socio-political history in '83-84, that was a very difficult time and the Sikh community went through a lot of difficulties at that time," he was quoted telling Galatta Plus.
Aamir Khan has been receiving rave reviews from the celebrities who have watched the film. Ashutosh Gowariker and Nagarjuna have revealed that they were bowled over by the film.
