Pooja Hegde reveals she lost her luggage before Cannes debut

Actress Pooja Hegde, who has managed to make a mark for herself in regional and Hindi film industries, recently made her Cannes Film Festival debut. The Ala Vaikunthapuram Loo actress is among the 11 film personalities along with A.R. Rahman, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, R. Madhavan and others who are members of India's official delegation to Cannes.
Pooja walked the Top Gun: Maverick premiere's red carpet on Wednesday and had her Cindrella moment in an elaborate feather gown. She was a sight to behold in the breathtakingly beautiful ivory-hued dress. Before that, she had picked another stunning look for the inauguration of the Indian Pavilion. While we have only witnessed her glamourous moments in the last few days, the trip to Cannes has been no cakewalk for the Beast actress and her team.
Pooja Hegde, in a recent interview, revealed that she lost her luggage when she landed in Paris. Not just that, her team even forgot a bag back in India. This unleashed a frenzy but they quickly got into the "disaster management" zone and bought new makeup and hair products.
In an interview with Film Companion, Pooja revealed, "So, I have to tell you that one of my bags, they forgot to load on the flight and it was left behind in my car (back in India). That's when I was like 'What the hell is happening?' That was my first reaction."
But it didn't stop there. Pooja later lost her luggage during her connecting flight to Paris. "I did lose my luggage when I landed, they were left behind in Paris. We had a connecting flight, so we lost all our hair products, makeup and outfits. Thankfully, I brought a couple of real jewellery pieces from India which I had carried. We landed, we had this upon us but we couldn't cry about it because we didn't have time to do that."
She revealed that she decided to take control of the situation and did fittings in the car. Meanwhile, her team ran to the store to get new products. The Radhe Shyam actress said that they haven't even had enough time to have breakfast or lunch. Amid all this, Pooja's hairstylist got food poisoning but luckily, she had another team.
All this obviously made her really nervous. "But when I hit the red carpet, I was so zen," she shared as she spoke about her magical red carpet moment.
