Ludhiana: Unable to bear cost of husband's treatment, 32-year-old woman ends life by consuming poison
The woman was from Phillaur's Badala village. Following a stroke, her husband was taken to DMCH. She reportedly became depressed after seeing no evident change in her husband's condition.

Ludhiana: In yet another shocking incident reported on Saturday, a 32-year-old lady committed suicide at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) by consuming poison. The lady was reportedly stressed because her husband was unwell and she couldn't afford his treatment.
The Division 8 police have transferred the deceased's body to the Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination, Hindustan Times reported.
The woman was from Phillaur's Badala village. Following a stroke, her husband was taken to DMCH. She reportedly became depressed after seeing no evident change in her husband's condition.
According to ASI Naveen Kumar, who is investigating the case, the lady was unable to pay for her husband's treatment and consumed poison beside a water cooler in the hospital on Saturday. When she fell, hospital personnel rushed to her aid, but she could not be revived, the ASI added.
The ASI further stated that police are recording the deceased's family members' statements.
