Kevin Pietersen expressed his views on encouraging the England batsman to think out of the box.

Legendary England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has shared his views on why he wants to help the young England batsman. The Three Lions haven't been in the best of form in Test cricket, having won just two out of their last 18 matches.
Pietersen, who is one of the greatest cricketers to have represented England, said that The Three Lions need a couple of coaches who are not scared to lose their job.
"I'd like to help this new young England batting side. I'd like to help them because I think what England need is, they need a couple of coaches in there that are not scared to lose their job," Pietersen was quoted as saying by mirror.co.uk.
England cricket witnessed big changes lately where Joe Root stepped down as England Test captain and was replaced by Ben Stokes. Legendary New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum was appointed as England's head coach in Test cricket.
Pietersen, who has not been part of any coaching set up lately, said that he wants to help England batsman think out of the box.
"But to really back them. Back the youngsters and give them that positive mindset on thinking outside of the box, being creative, and being positive. So it's not a position where you look at a lot of coaches around the world and you think 'he needs that job'. I don't need that job but I would like to help these guys," said Pietersen - who played 104 Tests in his decorated career and scored more than 8,000 runs in the format.
The new era under McCullum began on a positive note for England as they defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
After stepping down as captain, Root smashed a match-winning ton in the first match against New Zealand. The stylish right-hander followed it with yet another century in the ongoing second Test against the Kiwis.
