Ather Energy’s fast-charging network, Ather Grid has partnered up with Magenta ChargingGrid, an EV Charging firm to install Ather Grid fast chargers across charging locations operated by Magenta. The charging stations are integrated, which means all two-three-four wheelers will be available for charging at a single location.
Magenta ChargeGrid is expanding its charging network from 35 to 40 cities. They aim to set up at least 11,000 chargers by the end of FY23. On the other hand, Ather Grid has 330+ fast-charging points spread across 35 cities, and it plans to install 5,000 examples of more such points in the next three years. With this partnership, Ather Grid will further be able to expand its network in premium tier-I, tier-II, and tier-III cities, and across highways in India.
Magenta ChargeGrid also has alliances with prominent distribution companies, like BSES, BESCOM to establish a stronger EV infrastructure. As was mentioned by Mr. Nilay Chandra, V-P Charging Infrastructure and Marketing, Ather, “the charging infrastructure category is fast evolving” and “collaboration with other point operators at this stage will help the industry grow at an exponential scale.” This partnership “will not just help other OEM players to rapidly scale their network but also help them to optimise the investment required,” Maxson Lewis, Founder and Managing Director of Magenta ChargeGrid said.
